At the UN Climate Change Conference this year, the nations of the world will meet to finalize the market mechanism and other cooperative approaches for the Paris Agreement. This year, our institute will be sending a delegation of experts on various climate issues. From urbanization, climate justice and adaptive social protection to migration and climate finance, our expertise cuts across many of COP27’s most urgent themes.
Our researchers will be leading various discussions about some of the key thematic concerns of this year’s conference, and we will be hosting a press conference.
The press conference will take place on Wednesday 9 November at 11:00-11:30 a.m. in the Press Conference Room Cairo (Area E), featuring Dr. Shen Xiaomeng, UNU Vice-Rectorate in Europe and Director of UNU-EHS, Mr. Dirk Wilutzky, Academy Award-winning director and Ms. Martina Donlon, Climate Lead at United Nations Department of Global Communications.
