At the UN Climate Change Conference this year, the nations of the world will meet to finalize the market mechanism and other cooperative approaches for the Paris Agreement. This year, our institute will be sending a delegation of experts on various climate issues. From climate change and migration, sea level rise and climate risk insurance, our expertise cuts across many of COP25’s most urgent themes.
Our researchers will be leading various discussions about some of the key thematic concerns of this year’s conference, and we will be hosting a press conference.
The press conference “Stay or go? – Migration in the light of rising sea level in the Marshall Islands” will take place on Friday 6 December at 12.30-13.00 p.m. in the Press Conference Room CHILOE, Hall 10, featuring the work of UNU-EHS expert and IPCC author Dr. Zita Sebesvari and migration expert Dr Kees van der Geest.
