The project is led by CARE Deutschland e.V., and jointly implemented by CARE, MCII, and Germanwatch. It seeks to establish multi-actor partnerships (MAPs) on climate and disaster risk finance and insurance. It is implemented as a multi-country and multi-level endeavour, and engages in specific country contexts including in Laos, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Madagascar, Senegal, Philippines, and the Caribbean (Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Grenada). At country and regional level, the project aims to develop 6 national MAPs and one regional MAP. The various consortium partners (incl. Caribbean Policy Development Centre (CPDC), Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC), CISONECC, Civil Society Network on Climate Change (CISONECC), Chrysalis, SAF/FJKM, Community Development and Environment Association (CDEA), ENDA Energy Environment Development) are in charge of cooperation with and capacity development of actors at the national and regional level. At the international level, the project contributes to building a global multi-stakeholder community to develop and promote CDRFI approaches within the InsuResilience Global Partnership.
