2015•08•20
The IWQGES project (Development of International Water Quality Guidelines for Ecosystems) is coordinated by EVES in cooperation with the Global Water Systems Project (GWSP) on behalf of UNEP. The project aims to develop a scientifically-based policy and technical guide/manual, enabling transnational, national, and sub-national authorities to improve the sustainable management of their water resources and aquatic ecosystems. IWQGES will focus on water quality conditions that sustain healthy aquatic ecosystems and their functions. The linkages between the ecosystem services provision and respective uses will be emphasized.
