    Apply for the 2017 Master’s Degree programme

    The application process for the International Joint MSc Programme “Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security” is now open. The two year Master of Science programme is administered by The United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) and the Department of Geography at the University of Bonn (GIUB). Since its launch in October 2013, a total of 98 students from 26 different countries have been studying within the Master’s programme. Application deadline for the MSc programme is 15 January, 2017.     Almost 20 million people were displaced from natural disasters in 2015 alone, the majority climate-related. A large proportion of the displaced are children, whether through voluntary or forced climate change related mobility. It is essential to recognize the relationship between climate change, migration and children’s rights, which has so far been largely overlooked in research, program design and policy-making.
