The Vulnerability Assessment, Risk Management and Adaptive Planning (VARMAP) section of UNU-EHS is to host a Public Panel Discussion on the evening of Thursday 4 May at the United Nations campus in Bonn.
Entitled ‘From Urban Development to Adaptation, Resilience and Transformation: The Opportunities and Risks of Conceptual Fashions for Implementing the 2020 Agenda’, the discussion will be introduced and chaired by VARMAP head Dr. Matthias Garshagen.
Joining him will be UNU-EHS Director Professor Jakob Rhyner, Professor David Simon, Director of Mistra Urban Futures in Gothenburg and Professor at Royal Holloway in London, and Professor John Handmer of RMIT University in Melbourne.
The discussion will be held in room 2105 of the UN Campus in Bonn – “Langer Eugen” – from 17.30 until 18.45. Participants are required to register with Ms. Catharina Nickel via nickel@ehs.unu.edu by the end of Wednesday 3 May. More information here (PDF)
