According to the report “Generation 2030/Africa” by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), by 2100 four in 10 people on earth will be African. Earlier this week at the second annual UN-African Union conference in Addis Ababa United Nations Secretary General António Guterres called for greater support for development in Africa, specifically in regards to the UN’s Agenda 2030 and African Union’s Agenda 2063.

UNU-EHS is dedicated to helping to build a sustainable future for Africa. Projects all across the continent seek to contribute to this goal in different ways, be it through capacity building or by analyzing the causes of and ways to increase resilience towards issues such as drought, flood or crop losses.
