The Conversation just published an article written by UNU-EHS Senior Researcher Dr. Sonja Ayeb-Karlsson. In it, Ayeb-Karlsson argues that “we have surprisingly little empirical evidence of how social, psychological, financial, geographical, and political factors contribute to conflict, and how climate change interacts with them.” In order to illustrate that the link between climate and conflict is not simple or linear, she tells the story of 55-year-old Muzaffar from Bangladesh, who is also featured in a photo film.
