UNU-ViE SCYCLE is pleased to announce the 6th E-waste Academy – Scientists Edition (EWAS), set to take place in Ireland from 13th – 20th August 2016. Applications are invited from PhD students, post-docs and early career researchers from around the world currently researching on e-waste and related areas to come together and share knowledge, interact with experts and gain a holistic view on e-waste.
The intensive 8-day program includes a mix of student presentations, expert lectures, group work and study tours, giving participants an overview of the e-waste issue from an interdisciplinary perspective. Since the first EWAS in 2009, it has become the foremost forum available to young scientists involved in e-waste research. The EWAS network spans nearly 100 EWAS alumni from top universities, across 30 countries. The prestigious University of Limerick is hosting the EWAS, supported by sponsorships from ERP Ireland, the Irish Department of Environment and the Irish Environment Protection Agency and Dell.
