Several distinguished universities around the world have incorporated United Nations University (UNU) teaching and training components into their master’s and doctoral degree programmes.

In West Africa, UNU-EHS supports the University of Lomé, Togo, and the University of The Gambia with two training modules on Disaster Risk Reduction within the framework of the West African Science Service Center on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL) project. In Togo, UNU-EHS supports the Master programme on “Climate Change and Human Security” together with UNOCHA ROWCA and the Togolese Red Cross. The University of The Gambia has integrated a UNU-EHS module on “Technology enhanced learning (eLearning)” into the M.Sc. on “Climate Change and Education”.

Finally, for the Pan African University, Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (incl. Climate Change) (PAUWES) based in Tlemcen, Algeria, UNU-EHS contributes to the development of ICT-based solutions to support their educational programme, social and professional networking among the online community of practice, and entrepreneurship and technology transfer.

UNU-EHS’ unique educational offerings are an invaluable opportunity for students enrolled in postgraduate degree programmes at collaborating universities.

Application procedures differ by programme and university. If you are interested in one of the programmes offered by UNU-EHS, please consult the specific affiliated programme you are interested in for further information. Only students enrolled in an affiliated university as a regular student may apply.
