Deepal Doshi

Deepal Doshi is a student of the Joint Master GeoRisk Class of 2015-2017,a joint programme with the Institute of Geography of the University of Bonn and the United Nations University – Institute for Environment and Human Security.

She completed her Bachelor studies in Geography from the University of Calcutta in India. Interactions with environmentally induced migrants during her field studies in the Sundarbans in India inspired her to do this Masters program. She sees herself working in environmental migration, risk management and adaptation, and is particularly interested in the gender-poverty-vulnerability nexus.
